Westpac Stadium plates up with Epicure
Award-winning Australian hospitality firm Epicure is set to bring a whole new food and beverage experience to the members, match day hospitality and function spaces at Wellington's Westpac Stadium.
The fast growing hospitality brand has been setting benchmarks for responsible catering, endeavouring to use the freshest, local, sustainable produce as much a possible while also having a commitment to socially responsible practices.
With highly talented staff and a broad range of experience across Australia and at the New Zealand Parliament, the Epicure team will be bringing a fresh and dynamic approach to menus and service delivery. Interactive food stations are being introduced for members and new menus will be offered in all event day hospitality areas.
Westpac Stadium Chief Executive David Gray explains "catering plays an integral role in the experience at Westpac Stadium and we are excited about having the opportunity to showcase new and exciting options for our members and corporate box guests.
"With award-winning expertise, there is no doubt that Epicure will deliver a world-class hospitality solution."
Epicure is also bringing its extensive commercial venue management skills to the stadium. In addition to providing catering to match day hospitality areas, Epicure will manage and market events and catering on non-match days. This model has proved very effective in the growth of the Epicure business since it was acquired in 2001.
Epicure General Manager Robert Clifford states "we are excited to be expanding our portfolio into Westpac Stadium.
"New Zealand is such a great resource for exciting and interesting ingredients and the talented Epicure chefs are delighted to be featuring them on our menus at Westpac Stadium. We look forward to working with NZ's excellent produce in support of our sustainable food philosophy."
Combined with a commitment to socially responsible practices, including the reduction of its carbon footprint and putting back into the local community, Epicure menus at Westpac
Stadium will focus on fresh, seasonal produce such as Wakanui Blue beef, Regal Salmon, NZ Cheeses from Kapiti, Over the Moon Dairy and Whitestone and Rangitikei Chicken. Beverages include Antipodes water and UTZ Coffee.
With 15 versatile function spaces, all with an abundance of natural daylight looking out to the magnificent best-kept pitch Wellington has to offer, the Function Centre at Westpac Stadium can accommodate events from as small as 10 people to a 1,700 person cocktail function.
