Western Australians encouraged to have input on vision for Perth’s riverfront

The City of Perth is urging the Western Australian community to help shape the vision for Perth’s riverfront.

Stretching from Elizabeth Quay to Point Fraser, the riverfront provides the backdrop for Western Australia's capital city.

In mid-March, the City of Perth commenced engagement on the City’s Riverfront Project and due to the onset of Covid-19 restrictions, was not able to complete the community engagement as planned.

With restrictions almost completely lifted, the City has decided to re-engage the community on Perth’s Riverfront and hopes to hear from as many people as possible to develop a shared vision for the future.

City of Perth Chair Commissioner Andrew Hammond said the riverfront had the potential to become a world class destination and added “we will be working with the Western Australian community and various stakeholders to develop a shared vision for the future of the area.

“Focusing on improvements, ideas and community need, we want to hear from as many people as possible to share their vision for the riverfront.”

Interested Western Australians are encouraged to visit engage.perth.wa.gov.au, take the survey and share their ideas to be in the running for a dinner for two overlooking the Swan River. https://engage.perth.wa.gov.au/
