Western Australian Swim Schools combine to communicate Swim and Survive benefits

11 endorsed swimming schools have teamed up with Royal Life Saving WA to spread the Swim and Survive message.

The partnership saw each swim school contributed $500, which Royal Life Saving WA then matched, to fund the 2017/2018 Swim & Survive TV campaign, which was broadcast on Channel 10, 11 and ONE.

The Swim and Survive media campaign was also extended to the online streaming service TENplay this year.

A statement from Royal Life Saving WA advised "Learning to Swim and Survive is a vital life skill that all Western Australian children need to safely participate on, in and around water."

The Swim and Survive program identifies 16 critical stages in a child’s development. The lower stages focus on teaching efficient support and movement in the water while the higher stages include skill and knowledge in safety, survival and rescue, all while developing a strong and effective swimming technique.

Royal Life Saving WA added "huge thanks go to the 11 endorsed swimming schools involved in spreading this message, as well as MCN (Multi Channel Network) for additional air time."
