Waterplay President named a top female entrepreneur

Waterplay® Solutions Corp. has been named one of Canada’s top 100 businesses led by a female entrepreneur.

Waterplay, led by President Jill White (pictured), ranked 52nd on the 18th Annual W100 list - the country’s largest celebration of entrepreneurial achievement by women - published by PROFITguide.com and Canadian Business magazine, which measures business success based on size, growth rate and profitability.

Commenting on the award, White stated “it’s a great honour to be recognized alongside such outstanding businesses and leaders in Canada.

“This recognition reflects the exceptional growth of our product over the years and the hard work of our entire team.”

Since purchasing the business from its founders in 2004, White has helped the company become a global leader in the aquatic play industry. Now based in Kelowna, Britosh Columbia, it operates a full manufacturing facility, employs over 50 individuals, and plays a strong role in the local community, working with organisations like the Boys & Girls Club, United Way, the Kelowna Food Bank, and Salvation Army.

Female leadership is not the exception in this organisation - the company’s Managing Director and Director of Finance are both women - and plays a unique part of Waterplay’s corporate identity.
