WAFIC 2014 to bring Western Australian fitness together

The Australian Fitness Network is set to roll into Perth for the largest fitness convention in Western Australia.

At the Perth Convention Centre from 15th to 17th August, WAFIC - the Western Australian Fitness Industry Conference - gives Western Australian fitness professionals the chance to learn from dozens of Australian and international experts including FILEX favourite Robert Yang, the ever popular Adam Floyd and WAFIC newcomers Claire Norgate and Derek Vandenbrink.

The WAFIC program features over 60 lectures, workshops and master classes on topics ranging from training for maximum strength and fat loss to the benefits of seated yoga.

Those attending the two-day event delegates have the opportunity to earn 10 CECs (Continuing Education Credits), which can be used towards re-registration with industry body Fitness Australia.

In addition, five one-day workshops on Friday 15th August will give delegates the chance to expand their knowledge and areas of expertise and, in some cases, earn an extra batch of CECs.

Topics range from Aqua Fitness with Kerri Parkinson and Dominic Gili to Fundamentals of Kettlebell training with Dan  Henderson and Tarek Chouja.

As with all events produced by Network, WAFIC is not just about education.

Aiming to re-energise delegates, the opening keynote address at WAFIC 'When Opportunity Knocks' to be presented by Steve Pettit, will cover how leadership skills help fitness professionals make the most most of their career and life.

Welcome drinks will also give presenters, Network staff and delegates the chance to swap stories and recharge after their first full day at WAFIC.

Co-located with the Fitness Show WA and supported by YMCA Perth and Fitness Australia, WAFIC is a weekend that the Western Australian fitness industry cannot afford to miss.
