Volleyslam festival returns to the Gold Coast

The 2023 Volleyslam festival will see 1500 athletes compete on Coolangatta Beach for the 10-day Beach Volleyball festival getting underway on Friday 24th March on the Gold Coast.

Many of Australia’s top players will be vying for national glory in the Australian Championships.

It will be followed by the Scape Australian Youth Beach Volleyball Championships and the Scape Australian Beach Volleyball Schools Cup, which are designed to give more than 1000 junior athletes the opportunity to showcase their talent on the sand that will play host to the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games in nine years’ time.

Following its debut on the international calendar last year, the Coolangatta Beach Pro Tour Futures event will round out the festival from 29th March – 2nd April, attracting players from Japan, USA, Canada, Sweden, Germany, France, China, Thailand, Vanuatu, Tuvalu and New Zealand to compete against a number of top Australian teams.

The World Beach Pro Tour Futures and Volleyslam Gold Coast is supported by Major Events Gold Coast and the Queensland Government through Tourism and Events Queensland, and features on the It’s Live! in Queensland events calendar.
