Vivafit to expand to Indonesia

Vivafit, the Portugal-based women-only fitness club chain, has continued its expansion in Asia with an agreement to open clubs in Indonesia.

Vivafit and CNI Indonesia announced the partnership at a recent ceremony attended by Portuguese Ambassador to Indonesia Joaquim Moreira de Lemos during a Portuguese government trade mission with Indonesia.

The two countries have a long history of working together, with more than 140 Portuguese companies in Indonesia. However, Vivafit will be the first to work directly with consumers.

According to a Vivafit statement, CNI, a manufacturer and distributor of nutrition supplements, food, cosmetics, cook wear and cleaning products in Asia, hopes to open hundreds of Vivafit locations.

Vivafit's expansion in Asia includes clubs in Singapore, Malaysia, India and the United Arab Emirates, as well as franchising agreements for in Bahrain, Oman and Qatar.
