VIPeople celebrates 10 Years with new partnerships

Leading customer service staffing supplier VIPeople, has announced some exciting new projects in celebrating 10 years of service to the venue and event industries.

Commencing in early 2003 with a small team of around 30 staff at Parramatta Stadium, VIPeople has grown significantly in the ensuing years with a team of more than 600 staff now servicing over 30 major clients.

Looking back to the early days of the business, Managing Director Anthony Duffy recalls "we had no staff at the time of winning our initial tender and had to quickly establish and train a team in preparation for the first event.

"The selection philosophy applied then remains with us today. We focus on the smile and attitude. If we recruit the best people, the rest is easy."

With major partners including Ticketek, Sydney Showground, Tabcorp, NRL and Info Salons, VIPeople has recently established new relationships to celebrate the milestone and to form the basis for the future of the business.

Duffy adds "the start of 2013 represents the most successful period in our business to date including new partners Echo Entertainment (managers of the The Star event centre within Sydney's The Star casino complex), Venues NSW and the Sydney Cricket and Sports Ground Trust.

"We have also signed a new arrangement with Info Salons, establishing a team in Victoria a very exciting development for the business."

During the upcoming Easter period, Sydney boasts a number of major events including the Royal Easter Show, Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour, the Autumn Racing Carnival and the crossover of all four major football codes.

Facing this busy period, Duffy explains "we will roster in excess of 5,500 shifts in a 14 day period.

"Whilst presenting a challenge, it also demonstrates the quality and depth of our event team established over the last 10 years."

VIPeople provides customer service/FOH staff to venues and events across New South Wales, ACT and Victoria.
