VicHealth looks for new ideas to get more Victorians physically active

The VicHealth Physical Activity Innovation Challenge has been launched, looking for new ideas to get more Victorians physically active. 

Aiming to take sport and physical activity in a new direction, VicHealth is encouraging those with ideas for new ways to encourage physical activity to pitch their idea for a chance to share in $400,000 of start-up funding to build their project and gain access to expert support.

With submissions now open, a VicHealth statement explains “we’re challenging you to provide a two minute video pitch as your initial entry. 

“It’s easy ... just talk to a camera (or) even record yourself on your smart phone! 

“The most promising entries will share in a pool of $400,000 start-up funding to test their big idea and make a real impact.”

The initiative also includes the ‘Innovation Challenge’ workshop series with the following events:

Futures Jam workshop
Date: Wednesday 6th August
Time: 9am kick off, 12pm finish
Location: Treetops at Melbourne Museum

Rapid Prototyping workshop
Date: Tuesday 12th August
Time: 9am kick off, 12pm finish
Location: Treetops at Melbourne Museum
