VenuesWest in tune with its customers

VenuesWest has welcomed findings that show a significant increase in customer satisfaction from last year at two of its venues, WA Basketball Centre (WABC) and the WA Athletics Stadium (WAAS).

The results, from the 2014 Centre for Environmental Management (CERM) survey, facilitated by the University of South Australia, show an overall satisfaction rating of 80% by patrons of their experience at WAAS compared to 70% in 2013.

Respondents also rated their overall experience at a highest ever 86% satisfaction at the WABC up from 71% in 2013.

VenuesWest Chairman Graham Partridge OAM believes the jumps in customer satisfaction are due to listening to our customers, investing in the venues as well as our commitment to excellent customer service.

Partridge explained “respondents indicated the new athletics track at the WA Athletics Stadium improved the overall patron experience.

"The strong relationship with Basketball WA and the premium customer service at the WA Basketball Centre cafe significantly enhanced the overall experience for patrons."

Furthermore, the WABC survey results completed by 156 patrons showed 88% of patrons who visited WABC would recommend the venue compared to 74% in 2013.

The WAAS survey completed by 116 patrons also showed 87% would recommend the venue compared to 76% in 2013.

Partridge added "the results clearly indicate patrons are proud of our facilities and believe others would enjoy their experience at our venues.

"We are extremely proud of all 13 of VenuesWest's venues but it's particularly gratifying when your patrons are not only satisfied with their user experience but are willing to recommend the venues to other potential VenuesWest patrons.

"VenuesWest is 100% committed to improving our services by listening to our customers and then making improvements based on customer feedback.

It is this ongoing commitment to delivering excellent venue experiences, which has brought a record 3.7 million people through our venues during the 2013/14 financial year.

VenuesWest is Western Australia's provider of premier sports, recreation and entertainment venues and its portfolio includes the new and world class Perth Arena and the redeveloped nib Stadium. Recently the State Government confirmed that the new Perth Stadium would join the VenuesWest portfolio when completed in 2018.

These are in addition to HBF Stadium, HBF Arena, WA Athletics Stadium, WA Basketball Centre, Midvale Speeddome, Perth Motorplex, Champion Lakes Regatta Centre and the WA Rugby Centre, with the State Netball Centre and the Western Australian Institute of Sports High Performance Service Centre – which is currently under construction.
