Venue Sumo secures clients in Australia and the USA

Venue Sumo, the combined online ticketing and point-of-sale venue management software, is rapidly expanding its presence in both Australia and the USA.

Since going to market in October 2023, the fast-growing Melbourne-based company has quickly gained a strong client base based on the software's ability to address the unique needs of family entertainment venues which has resonated with industry professionals, leading to quick adoption and positive feedback.

Venue Sumo Managing Director, Brett Melville explains “after the great response we received when we launched and got our first customers, plus the feedback from exhibiting at IAAPA in Orlando in November 2023, we knew what we had built something that the market was looking for.”

Venue Sumo's clientele spans from local family entertainment venues such as trampoline parks and indoor play centres to large franchise groups like Flip Out Australia and the Belgravia Group's Ninja Parc division.

In a significant milestone, Venue Sumo went live with its first USA customers in April 2024, marking its successful expansion into the American market.

Building on its early success, Venue Sumo aims to expand its reach further, continually enhancing its features based on client feedback. The team is committed to delivering exceptional service and solutions to meet the changing needs of the industry.

Venue Sumo was designed to address common frustrations associated with existing software solutions such as:

  • Percentage-based booking fees that take profits away from venues;

  • Systems that fail to create automated workflows that save venues management time;

  • Poor or slow customer support; and

  • High payment fees from card payments.

Venue Sumo offers a comprehensive suite of tools designed to streamline operations to help managers make genuine time savings in their business processes.

Key features of Venue Sumo include:

  • Online Ticketing: Simplify ticket sales with a high converting online booking platform that offers real-time capacity and sales tracking.
