Venue Management Services to manage Hobart's newest function venue

Following a nationwide tender process, the Tasmanian Government has awarded the management contract for Hobart's newest waterside function venue, Princess Wharf No.1 to Melbourne based, Venue Management Services (VMS).

VMS is a specialist venue and facility management company with operations in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and now Tasmania.

VMS Managing Director Saxon Mitchell is excited about introducing the new Hobart venue to the national conference, exhibition and concert market, stating "Princes Wharf No. 1 has been the home of the internationally renowned Taste of Tasmania since it's inception in the early 1990s.

"Now with almost $20 million spent on it, the venue is one of Australia's finest, in a totally unique and delightful location (and) with over 3800 metres2 of event space the venue is one of Hobart's largest multi-purpose event centres.
