Victorian-based services provider Southern Cross Computer Systems has enhanced its business appointing Brett Liddle as its General Manager of Venue and IP Surveillance Solutions.
Liddle has over 15 years experience in the IT industry with a strong focus on business engagement and ICT management. He is a graduate of the Venue Management Associations - Public Venue Management School.
Prior to joining Southern Cross, hewas Information Systems Manager at the Melbourne Cricket Club, where he was pivotal in managing the MCG's ISO27001 certification - the MCG is the only stadium in the world that is ISO 27001 certified.
Liddle was instrumental in the delivery of projects for the MCG including Ticketing rights tender, IP Security CCTV, Public and Media internet services, Building automation systems, Risk Mitigation, Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP).
In his new role with Southern Cross, Liddle will now offer 'CIO on demand' consulting to venues and clubs in the Asia Pacific region. The emphasis will be around strategies and technology tailored to the venue rather than a generic IT offering. Strategic planning, IT risk management, BCP and DRP are all on offer, as well as solutions in IP Surveillance, and the design and delivery of CCTV solutions for both security and customer analytics. While the initial focus for IP surveillance is the Victorian market, other states will come on line in the near future. Brett will also have access to the full breadth of Southern Cross' experience and skills.
