Upper Hutt City Council seeks trustees for Whirinaki Whare Taonga
Upper Hutt City Council is seeking applications from interested members of the community for three positions on the Whirinaki Whare Taonga Trust.
The centre is a thriving arts, culture and events space and Trustees govern the operation of the galleries, theatre, Professionals Recreation Hall, café and other areas to ensure they continue to grow and evolve.
Three Trustee positions expire on 30th June 2023 and Council is seeking applications from interested members of the community to replace them. They are looking for people who are well connected in the arts and/or heritage community who can bring fresh perspectives.
Upper Hutt City Council is particularly keen to hear from people with previous governance experience, preferably with risk management, marketing/promotions, human resources or legal background. The roles are for up to three years from the date of appointment. Positions are voluntary and Board meetings are held every six weeks.
This is a unique opportunity to join a progressive charitable board of Trustees in the arts and philanthropy space and build support for artists.
If you, or someone you know would like to apply, please send a covering letter with your CV outlining your governance experience and what skills you can offer, to the Director of Community Services, Upper Hutt City Council, Private Bag 907, Upper Hutt or by emailing askus@uhcc.govt.nz.
Applications close Friday 28th April at 5.00 pm.
