Universal Studios Singapore hits 10 million visitor mark

Universal Studios Singapore welcomed its 10 millionth visitor on Thursday with much fanfare.

Singaporean Joanne Tan and her family received a superstar welcome being greeted by Park characters Marilyn Monroe and Woody Woodpecker when she presented her ticket to enter the leading attraction.

Tan received gifts worth more than $1,000 including a fully-paid for dinner, park merchandise and an exclusive tour of the amusement park, where they enjoyed the latest Sesame Street Spaghetti Space Chase attraction, as well as Madagascar: A Crate Adventure.

She told local media "the surprise welcome made us feel like superstars, it felt like we were in the movies.

"This is actually the first time we are visiting Universal Studios Singapore, so I am really excited."
