Trampoline facility opens in Redbank

The Redbank Indoor Sports Centre has opened Queensland's first trampoline park.

Part of a growing number of trampoline centres across Australia, the Just Jump Trampoline Park offers numerous trampolines, all joined together with soft padding to form one massive trampoline surface.

To add to the experience, the space is enclosed with angled trampolines which allow users to literally bounce off the walls.

Facility Manager Rachel Campbell said she had been surprised at the popularity of the new attraction, telling local media "I had prepared myself for a slow start, but already we're seeing the park get booked out, particularly on weekends.

"There's been a lot of positive word of mouth as it was getting built; people were driving from as far as Brisbane's north side just to get a sneak peek."

Campbell said the park could be enjoyed by adults as well as children and that trampoline exercise programs were being created.

She added "research has apparently shown 10 minutes worth of jumping is the same cardio workout as 30 minutes of running."
