Tourism trends revealed at national tourism conference

Trends that will shape the future of the Australian export tourism industry are set to be explained at the upcoming national tourism conference.
The Australian Tourism Export Councilâs (ATEC) Meeting Place 2008 conference will bring more than 500 inbound tourism operators, decision-makers and tourism product suppliers to the Hilton Hotel, Sydney on Wednesday 3rd December to examine the latest innovations in export tourism and discuss the future of the industry in general.
ATEC Managing Director Matt Hingerty believes that the Meeting Place 2008 conference will be the ideal way for the inbound tourism industry to cap off a tumultuous year saying that, while the impact of the global financial crisis on worldwide travel could not be ignored, the emphasis of this Meeting Place would be on positive developments in the industry and finding ways to ride out and even prosper from challenging business conditions.
This year's ATEC Meeting Place 2008 conference will include:
· Dynamic Pricing: a panel discussion on the reasons behind and implications of this innovative room-pricing scheme for the hotels and accommodation sector
· Online travel marketing: a keynote address by Claire Hatton, Head of Travel, Google Australia on the latest business trends in online travel
· âInnovate or dieâ: Closing address by business futurist and innovation expert Craig Rispin about emerging business, people and technology trends â and how companies can identify and profit from them
