Tourism and Transport Forum prepares for inaugural Green Summit

Mindful of the growing importance of sustainable tourism, the Tourism and Transport Forum will this week be staging its inaugural Green Revolution Summit.

Being held this Thursday (10th March) at SkyPoint, Surfers Paradise, the Summit will allow delegates to the chance to hear from industry leaders and innovators as they outline their plans to reach critical targets for sustainable tourism, bringing together public and private sector experts.

Promoting the event, TTF advise “as we learn to live and adapt with the impact of the Covid 19 pandemic - the single biggest challenge our sectors have faced - the road to a full recovery comes with significant challenges and opportunities. In this environment we have a chance to reshape the tourism, aviation, public transport industries and to build a more sustainable future.

“The eyes of the world are on us and in a political environment where carbon emission targets are controversial and have the potential to shape election outcomes we have the chance to take the lead and show our commitment to that future - one where environmental concerns are already starting to have an impact on the purchasing decisions of travellers.”

The full day Summit will also include a networking function.

Chaired by Tourism & Transport Forum Chair, Bruce Baird, event speakers include:
