TotalFusion to add new Rooftop Wellness Precinct to Newstead gym complex

Queensland-based fitness group TotalFusion is adding a new Rooftop Wellness Precinct to their Newstead gym with the precinct opening scheduled for November 2023.

TotalFusion Platinum is located at 18 Longland St, Newstead - an inner northern riverside suburb of Brisbane.

Offering over 40 different class types with 170 classes scheduled a week, TotalFusion Platinum aims to become one of the most highly sought-after fitness hotspots in Newstead with the introduction of its rooftop wellness precinct.

The Newstead gym currently offers different studios dedicated to cycle, reformer pilates, yoga, run clubs, hot pilates and functional workouts. The wellness precinct aims to help its members elevate their strength, improve their cardiovascular performance, and optimise their general health with not only these classes, but with additional wellness amenities.

The Newsted wellness precinct will take over the entire rooftop, encompassing a 25 metre magnesium pool, hot and cold spas, a salt therapy room, Normatec compression therapy, cryotherapy treatment, meditation devices, an infrared sauna, steam room and a snow room.

TotalFusion founder Leon McNiece described the new rooftop precinct as “bringing the holistic approach with the gym, recovery, medical all tied in together with all organic food, everything under one roof.

“The snow room is another form of recovery, there’s a traditional Finnish sauna next to it, so people will go in pat their skin down with snow and then can either jump in one of the hot tubs or go between the snow and sauna.”

The snow room is the result of innovative patented technology from TechnoAlpin and constant temperatures ranging from -5º to -11ºC. Snow can be massaged into member’s skin to enhance the immune system, blood vessel training, cardiovascular system, detoxification and fat burning, mental strength, pain relief, and regeneration.

Earlier this year, TotalFusion opened its health and wellness club in the Brisbane suburb of Morningside offering members six purpose-built group fitness studios, an open gym floor, yoga, functional training, cycle, Reformer Pilates, a Run Club, wellness services, infrared saunas, hot and cold plunge pools and float tanks.
