TicketServ provides SRO ticketing solution at Frankston Arts Centre

The Frankston Arts Centre has joined the growing number of sites using the SRO ticketing solution supplied and supported by TicketServ Asia Pacific.

Frankston Arts Centre went live with SRO in October after an extensive tender and market review process.

A purpose-built performing and visual arts venue designed by renowned Australian Architect, Daryl Jackson, it was opened in 1995 by then Australian Prime Minister Paul Keating.

One of the largest outer metropolitan arts venues in Australia, Frankston Arts Centre has committed to community, cultural development and increasing access opportunities to promote mental health and wellbeing through the arts in its 40 years of operations.

The Frankston Arts Centre incorporates an 800 seat theatre, two exhibition gallery spaces, a function centre, a 192 seat black box theatre and creative arts hub, attracting approximately 250,000 visitors through its doors each year.

Over 50% of visitors come from outside the Frankston municipality, most notably from the Mornington Peninsula and Westernport regions, as well as Melbourne's bayside and along EastLink to Ringwood.

The Frankston Arts Centre is an Inclusive venue, providing arts opportunities for all abilities and is unique in its field having a dedicated Arts Access Officer and program including live theatre captioning, ticket subsidy scheme, educational pathways and specialised workshops. Many local schools, theatre companies, community arts groups and artists use the Frankston Arts Centre each year. A subsidised community rate is provided to all community hirers.

The Centre plays host to approximately one quarter of a million visitors annually; attracted to artistic offerings which range from community and school productions to sell-out performances by touring national and international artists. Renowned for its variety of theatre, visual arts and new media arts, from local, national and international artists, its mission is to provide and inspire creative experiences that strive for a positive community participation and engagement.

In implementing the SRO suite, not only in ticketing, but memberships and reporting, Frankston Arts Centre  has moved to modern and fully integrated solution, with a full data conversion of more than 10 years of data brought over.

This data conversion, along with the core system features in marketing, will allow the Centre’s management to utilise the inbuilt and powerful SRO marketing tools and build upon both current and past data for growing audiences.

Welcoming its new client, TicketServ founder and Managing Director Ian English stated “with Frankston Arts Centre coming on board, they have now joined a number of sites in 2015.

“SRO and TicketServ continue to build market presence with sites such as the Drum theatre in Dandenong, the Royal Automobile Club of Victoria, the National Roads and Motorists Association in NSW and other Australian and Asia Pacific sites on board. We have continued to build both software and services that are being taken up and recognised as complete solutions in arts, entertainment, tourism, agency and corporate sectors.”

Frankston Arts Centre Coordinator Ticketing & CRM Services Jeannie Hayes  added “Frankston Arts Centre had been reviewing our Ticketing/CRM software for some time and went to tender December 2014.

“Comparing ticketing options we decided on TicketServ SRO as our preferred provider.

“Contracts were signed and the ‘live’ date of 21st October, 2015 was set.

“Fortunately a lot of pre-work was completed before this date, including the migration of almost 15 years of full data.

“We had the on-site support of Peter Black for final install and support leading up to and over the first couple of ‘live’ days.

“I have found both TicketServ and their support team very easy and accommodating to work with, being able to access all customers full history of the past 15 years is invaluable (and) we are enjoying the benefits of our choice and are looking forward to exploring more in depth the many opportunities SRO offers Frankston Arts Centre."
