Ticketek/Nine Entertainment Senior Appointments
The Nine Entertainment Company's Geoff Jones has announced the appointments of Cameron Hoy as Managing Director of Ticketek Australia and Brendon Bainbridge as Managing Director of Ticketek New Zealand.
Since returning to the Ticketek business, Jones (Nine Entertainment Company's recently appointed Managing Director, Events) has been reviewing both Ticketek's senior structure and the new Events company 'Nine Live' as well as the repositioning of Ticketek's Rewards as 'Nine Rewards'. The final structure and appointments of Nine Live will be communicated in mid-March.
With respect to Ticketek, Jones was delighted to announce the new appointments.
He stated "Cameron Hoy has been appointed Managing Director - Ticketek Australia. Cameron came to Ticketek with a wealth of experience in sales, marketing and media having enjoyed senior roles within some of Australia's largest media businesses, including ACP, Fairfax and ninemsn.
"Cameron has been a key contributor to Ticketek's senior leadership team over the past three 1/2 years and has a clear passion for our business (and) I look forward to Cameron taking on broader management responsibilities and working closely with me and his SLT colleagues to ensure Ticketek continues to deliver the very best for our clients and our people.
"Brendon Bainbridge has also been appointed to the new role of Managing Director - Ticketek New Zealand.
"Brendon has led the New Zealand business for five years in his role as Country Manager and has built a strong team of talented and committed individuals.
"This appointment reflects Brendon's growth and development as a senior executive and his dedication to Ticketek's continued leadership in the New Zealand market. Brendon will turn some of his focus towards growing the Nine Events parts of the business in New Zealand including developing our events, representational and corporate hospitality offerings."
In regards to developments at Nine Events, Chris Charleson, will take on additional responsibility and expand his current roles as Chief Financial Officer/Chief Operationg Officer at Ticketek to include Nine Events business.
Ticketek is owned by Nine Entertainment Co whose assets also include the Nine Network Australia, ACP Magazines, Acer Arena and a 50% interest in ninemsn, as well as interests in the Australian News Channel (Sky News).
