Ticketek introduces world first dynamic mobile ticket at Australian Open

With the Australian Open commencing today, 60,000 tennis fans with mobile tickets will be able to access a range of great new features on their mobile devices with Ticketek’s new, world-first dynamic mobile ticket.

The dynamic mobile ticket for the Australian Open 2015 includes the daily order of play schedule, directions to Melbourne Olympic Park, a comprehensive venue map, weather forecasts and options for sharing on social media.

The new ticketing technology transforms mobile tickets into more than just a way to get into an event by providing spectators with easy access to essential event information from a single source.

Ticketek Chief Executive Geoff Jones explains "we are proud to continually lead the way in ticketing technology, and even more pleased to keep finding ways for event-goers to get more out of their live entertainment experience.

“The sky’s the limit as to what can be included in this new essential event companion. In the future we plan on adding more features like seat upgrades, competitions and offers, and greater social integration – all exclusive to the dynamic mobile ticket.”

Australian Open Tournament Director Craig Tiley added "the Australian Open and Ticketek were the first in Australia to introduce Fan Marketplace - a safe, secure and fair way for our fans to sell and buy tickets, last year and now with the introduction of the dynamic mobile ticket we continue to lead the way in Australia.”

The dynamic mobile ticket for Australian Open 2015 joins the Fan Marketplace as an extensive customer service offering for event-goers from Ticketek and Tennis Australia.

Ticket-holders can access it by selecting 'Mobile Ticket' as their chosen delivery method when purchasing tickets. Mobile tickets are compatible with any smartphone.

The Australian Open 2015 runs until 1st February at Melbourne Olympic Park.
