The Events Centre partners with 91.9 Sea FM to showcase emerging performing artists

The Events Centre, Caloundra (TEC) has partnered with local radio station 91.9 Sea FM to support upcoming emerging artists on the Sunshine Coast by showcasing their talent and giving them their “Big Break”.

Following a five-week promotion, five local artists will be selected to perform on TEC’s main stage on Friday 9th October 2020 and be the opening acts for a surprise headline artist.

TEC General Manager, Steve Romer commented “we love supporting local upcoming artists during these challenging times, and what better way to do this than partnering with the Sunshine Coast’s number one local radio station”.

TEC is one of only a handful of Queensland theatres who have reopened their doors following the introduction of a Covid-Safe Plan which includes social distancing, sanitisation protocols, contact tracing, and a range of new procedures endorsed by the state government.

Romer adds “following the success of our reopening events in late August and early September, we are anticipating another sell out event. We are so thrilled to have the support of the Sunshine Coast community and love that we can provide them with a place to enjoy live music once again.

Performing artists, musicians and bands can now register their music at 919seafm.com.au with entries closing on Friday 2nd October 2020.

Tickets to 91.9 SEA FM’s Big Break will go on sale on Monday 14th September 2020 and can be purchased from TEC’s website

TEC has a diverse mix of entertainment coming up over the next few months with live music, comedy and community events, with many more to be announced over coming weeks.
