The Calyx offers nature-filled event space in the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney

The Calyx in the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney offers event planners the opportunity to immerse their guests among 20,000 plants which are on display as part of the horticulture masterpiece, ‘Love Your Nature’.

‘Love Your Nature’ presents as an extraordinary 50metre long living wall, which celebrates the colourful world of plant-love, among delicate orchids, a glass ceiling and agile event space. It is designed to provide event and conference goers with an inspiring nature-filled experience.  

Chief Executive of the Royal Botanic Gardens and Domain Trust, Denise Ora, said the Gardens’ talented horticulture and design teams have once again created the ultimate conversation starter, and a stunning and informative floral display.  

Ora advised “The Calyx is a unique event space in the heart of Sydney’s CBD and provides endless creative solutions for event planners to create memorable and distinctive events for their guests. The incredible Love Your Nature display, with vibrant colours, textures and scents, provides more than just a stunning backdrop – it gives guests an immersive botanical experience.” 

Love Your Nature is one of the largest vertical floral walls in the southern hemisphere and showcases and celebrates the fascinating stories of plant-love.

Plants have always used a variety of remarkable ways to reproduce and many are on display; from stunning sex-changing cycads, and ostentatious orchids that trick their pollinators.   

To accompany the blooming flora, The Calyx’ culinary experts Laissez-faire Catering have launched new flavours for their spring events menu which includes 90% of the produce being sourced from farms in the Orange and Mudgee region.

The Calyx has a capacity of 400 and boasts contemporary architecture, a large-scale living green wall, and indoor and outdoor event space options.
