Tenpin Bowling Australia makes new Industry General Manager appointment

Tenpin Bowling Australia has announced the appointment of Damien Smith to the role of General Manager, Industry - a new role that will be solely focussed on working directly with the sector and centre owners and operators to grow.

Advising that the sport is focussed on assisting the sector with financial sophistication, marketing, benchmarking, and program integration to prosper, Tenpin Bowling Australia Chairman, Jerome Joseph advised “a thriving sustainable sector is good for our operators and positions our sport to flourish over the long term.”

Tenpin Bowling Australia describe Smith as “a commercially astute and strategically minded senior retail leader, who thrives working in high performance cultures. He has worked within the retail sector for the bulk of his career and seen success in leadership and business transformation working directly with retailers and large groups.
Most recently Smith was working with the Reject Shop looking after 137 stores with more than $400 million in annual turnover.

Looking forward to his new role, Smith stated “I cannot wait to start with TBA and immerse myself with the centre owners / operators and the sector more broadly as soon as possible. We will grow together.”

He commences on 7th December.
