Technogym launches wellness funding program for young entrepreneurs

Technogym has announced the world’s first ‘Wellness Accelerator Program’ to support innovative projects in the health and wellness industry.

A collaboration between Technogym; Wellness Holding, the Alessandri family's angel investment fund; and Italian venture accelerator H-Farm, the initiative aims offer backing and expertise to small wellness companies from across the world.

Focused on innovative wellness projects, the program has the goal of selecting startups that work in the health and wellness sector, in order to support innovative projects working to reinvent and improve this constantly growing sector.

Starting on 23rd March, this four-month program will select five teams with good ideas and technical skills, to be perfected with H-FARM during the Wellness Acceleration Program. Each team will receive a package worth over €80,000 (US$91,000), divided into different services, such as mentoring, networking, room and board, work spaces, specific events, technical and professional services and cash investment.

Projects eligible for selection will be focused on wearable devices, platforms and tools, big data and analytics, and services in the health and wellness sector. The selected teams will also receive the support of mentors and wellness professionals from both Technogym and H-Farm.

Applications for the program are now open and need to be submitted by 28th February, 2015.
