Technogym Australia introduces 'Wellness on the Go'

Technogym Australia has been introducing the Mywellness Cloud in recent months - the first ever cloud computing technology within the fitness industry which allows fitness facilities to extend the boundaries of their facility and to have the ability to be in constant contact with their member's wherever they are in the gym, on the move or at home.

Rolled out in a series of 'Wellness on the Go' seminars to its private club and local authority customers in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, the presentations delivered during the seminars contained cutting edge information about Technogym's Mywellness Cloud.

Francesco Arlotti from Technogym's headquarters in Italy delivered the content with Australian Network Solutions Manager, Barbara Zeiss. Facility owners and managers were impressed by the solution that ensures that their installed equipment can always be controlled, monitored and has the ability to provide facilities and members with the information that really matters.

The Sydney seminar, staged at the Sydney Cricket Ground, was addressed by Paul Roos, former Sydney Swans Coach and currently head coach of the Sydney Swans Academy. Roos gave a presentation about the four year relationship between the Sydney Swans and Technogym, with the Swans using Technogym cardio, strength and functional movement products.

Roos outlined the latest initiative that makes use of the Mywellness Key Study, conducted by Edith Cowan University and Technogym, which monitors the physical activity of 40 members of the Under 16 Academy squad while they are not training with the Academy.

Roos explained the usefulness of the study ntly underway and how the Mywellness key could used be within a fitness club setting to motivate members to achieve their desired fitness goals.

In addition, the Melbourne event was so successful that attendees asked for similar discussion groups to be held on a bi-monthly basis.

The Mywellness Cloud Technology allows Fitness Club members to access their workout data wherever they are:

In the gym using VISIOWEB, a web-enabled digital platform interface available on Technogym cardiovascular equipment, or from VISIOSELF, the new interactive touch screen kiosk.

On the go from a smartphone using the mywellness mobile app

At home from a tablet or personal computer, using the mywellness.com website.
