Technogym and the Australian Institute of Fitness announce new partnership

Technogym Australia has announced that it has agreed a partnership with the Australian Institute of Fitness to provide functional training equipment, digital solutions and educational and scientific content to three NSW Institutes.

The partnership was announced at a gathering of more than 50 people Australian Institute of Fitness national educators, Technogym staff and customers, fitness experts and press at the Institute’s Crows Nest headquarters.

Those at the gathering were on hand to attend a formative seminar on Kinesis® Training and cloud solutions led by international functional guru Henk-Jan Thoes – Product Manager at Technogym’s Italian base.

The Australian Institute of Fitness, established in 1979, is the oldest and largest training provider for the Australian fitness industry, and its training programs provide the most popular career pathways.

Welcoming the partnership, Institute NSW and ACT Chief Executive David Hatch stated “in the effort of pursuing continuous innovation, we are introducing new courses on Functional Training, and we are glad to partner with Technogym, which stands at the forefront of innovation in our industry, with an ambitious pilot project in NSW.

“We are excited that thousands of students at the Australian Institute of Fitness will now train on Technogym’s Kinesis® and ARKE functional products, and we are certain they will add a positive and fresh contribution to the development of the growing functional training community.”

The partnership will see Institute students have access to Technogym’s Functional Training App for iPad, featuring thousands of exercises and training routines, and will also present opportunities for the students to become contributors of Wekinesis.com, the online PT community endorsed by the Wellness Company.

Finally, graduates from the Australian Institute of Fitness willing to start up their own business, will be able to purchase Technogym equipment and digital solutions at a discounted price or through financing.
