Tasmanian sporting clubs receive government support for purchasing equipment
A number of Tasmanian sporting organisations will share in more than $1.1 million in funding from the Tasmanian Government’s 2021-22 Sport and Recreation Equipment Grants Program.
With the State Government aiming to ensure the sustainability and future of sporting clubs across Tasmania, 112 Tasmanian organisations will receive a share of the funding – assisting their recovery from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic as they return to play.
Financial assistance will be provided to clubs and organisations around the State to purchase additional or replacement sporting equipment.
Projects to receive funding under the 2021-22 Grants Program include:
$2,940 for the replacement of tennis nets and posts for Beaconsfield Tennis Club Inc;
