Taronga Zoo offers new ‘After Dark’ experience

Taronga Zoo, situated on Sydney Harbourfront is offering a new event –‘Taronga After Dark’ – for a limited time of 10 nights running from 3rd–12th October.

Taronga After Dark offers visitors the chance to “sip cocktails under the stars, wander lantern-lit trails, and discover what the animals get up to after dark - all set against the breathtaking backdrop of Sydney Harbour.”

Apart from watching the sunset over Sydney Harbour, offerings include drinks at the Archie Rose Sunset Bar, overlooking the African Savannah; glowing lantern-lit trails to encounter incredible nocturnal wildlife including lions, tigers, and bears; Sunset Seals with Wild presentation; and experience animals up close at the mesmerising ‘Aussie Wildlife Cinema’. The evening ends with live acoustic music - all included with the ticket.

For thrill-seekers, the Wild Ropes high ropes course will be illuminated for a high-flying experience like no other.

Food and beverage is available at the street food village which will be serving up delicious bites and sweet treats in a lively atmosphere.

Also on offer is the opportunity to take the experience to the next level, with an overnight stay at the Wildlife Retreat at Taronga.   • 3rd–12th October 2025 (including Monday 6th October for the Labour Day long weekend)

  • 5:30pm – 9:00pm nightly

  • Tickets on sale from Tuesday 19th August

  • $41 Adults | $37.80 Concession | $36 Children (4–15) | Free for under 3s
