Tamworth’s event organisers to receive marketing support
Event organisers in the Tamworth region can now apply for the 2022/23 Regional Events Marketing Program - an annual program in which Tamworth Regional Council provide marketing support.
Each year the Tamworth region delivers a range of diverse events which unite the community and showcase the region’s offerings.
Events in the past that have received support from the program include Barraba Show, Manilla Show, Grey Fergie Tractor Muster, Nundle Country Picnic, Australian Country Dance Festival, Great Nundle Dog Race and the Australian Quarter Horse Association Show and Performance.
Tamworth Regional Council Director of Growth and Prosperity, Jacqueline O’Neill notes “the last few years have been really tough on events in our region and this is a way that we can assist event organisers to be able to market their event to maximise attendance.
“Each application is assessed individually to ensure they meet the criteria. The marketing support provided ranges from media coverage, distribution of promotional material, social media promotion and more.”
Australian Country Dance Festival Event Organiser, Chris Watson adds “the support offered by Tamworth Regional Council made our event more viable by providing more reach and attracting visitors to the event both nationally and internationally.
“The application process was easy and if you’re planning an event you should already have everything at your fingertips to complete the application.”
Council encourages event organisers to apply for this program that offers between $100 to $5000 worth of financial and in-kind marketing support.
