Sydney Olympic Park wraps up successful summer outdoor film festival
Sydney Olympic Park has completed a successful program of family-friendly value entertainment presented as part of its 'Movies by the Boulevard' summer outdoor film festival.
Presenting, for the 13th year, the festival presented a series of free movies shown in the precinct's Boulevard.
Commenting at the pre-Christmas launch of the program, NSW Minister for Sport and Recreation Gabrielle Upton stated "'Movies by the Boulevard' serves up a feast of 11 feature films, with something for everyone, culminating in the 'Short Soup' international short film festival.
"Outdoor cinema with friends and family is a quintessential Sydney summer experience and Movies by the Boulevard provides that experience for free, with hundreds of thousands of mums, dads and kids making the most of the summer's best free movies over the past 13 years."
Held at Cathy Freeman Park on Olympic Boulevard at Sydney Olympic Park, Movies by the Boulevard 2014 will operated on the first three Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings in January.
Free childrens' activities were also available on the Friday and Saturday 'family blockbuster nights'.
