Sydney Family Show returns to Entertainment Quarter with attractions, exhibitions and activities

For over two fun-filled weeks, from 6th to 23rd of April 2023, the Sydney Family Show returns to the Entertainment Quarter at Moore Park offering a wide range of attractions, exhibitors, free activities and live entertainment.

The Show expects to be bursting with entertainment, amusement rides, showbags, games, food vans, interactive activities, experiences, and competitions, including the Rabbit Hopping competitions and Dogs in the Park feature.

Britt Osborne, Event Director of the Sydney Family Show enthuses “The Sydney Family Show brings so much joy and wonder to local families. Entry to the show is only $65 for a family of four and includes a collection of activities and interactive experiences covered by the entry fee, making it the best value show in Sydney.

“As a family-owned business, we understand the importance of creating special moments, and we are so proud to be able to give Sydney families an affordable Show experience, and the opportunity to create these special memories with lots to see and do.”

Entry to the show includes access to a wide range of attractions and activities, including the daily Animal Nursery, the Rabbit Hopping competition on Good Friday, daily stage show performances, as well as the action-packed, gravity-defying motorcycle and bike show, plus two hours of free parking in the Entertainment Quarter.

Also free with the show entry ticket, is the well-respected Shimano Fishing Show. With three shows daily (11am, 1pm and 3pm), and over $400 in prize giveaways at each presentation.

The Sydney Family Show offers four daily reptile shows and includes lizards, turtles, snakes and crocodiles.

With so much to see and do, the all-new Pavilion provides the perfect place to get out of the sun and away from the hustle and bustle.    

Dogs in the Park event headlines festivities for two Sundays, on the 16th and 23rd of April and from a competition standpoint, the best pooches from a wide range of breeds will come together to determine the winners of various titles, including the Waggiest Dog Tail, the Scruffiest Dog, the Best Dressed Dog, as well as the ever-popular Dog Owner Look-a-Like contest, and many more.

Dogs in the Park will once again feature the Greyhounds as Pets NSW (GAPNSW) National Adoption Day on Sunday, 23rd April, where a number of retired racing greyhounds will be looking for their new forever home.

For the thrill-seekers of the family, three-hour unlimited ride passes are available this year (based on session times) and provide fantastic value for money for ride lovers. At $50 per person, visitors can enjoy all the childhood favourites from the dodgem cars, carousel and jumping castles to the Giant Slide and heart-stopping adrenaline-fuelled Super Sizzler, plus many more!

Also on offer are traditional carnival games and showbags. While Sydney’s largest inflatable obstacle course – the Monster Jump, returns boasting a monstrous 280 meters of bouncy fun, setting the scene for a thrilling family day out.

The Sydney Family Show is open from 10am to 5pm daily, closing at 3pm on Thursday 6th of April.

Entry prices to the Sydney Family Show are $25 for an adult (16+ years), $13 for a child (3-15 years), and $65 for a family of four. Rides, showbags, carnival games and some attractions are at an additional cost.
