SXSW Sydney releases 2025 dates

With Southwest Sydney (SXSW Sydney) 2024 having attracted over 190,000 people, event organisers have announced that the event will be returning in 2025 with the Conference, Expo and Festivals running from 13th to 19th October, in and around precincts including Darling Harbour, Chippendale and Broadway.

In 2024, SXSW Sydney returned to deliver 1,400 conference sessions, 95 screenings, 315 performances, 150 games and brand activations to 92,000+ unique attendees from 56 different countries, united by their desire for discovery and opportunity. This year’s event saw over 300,000 visits across more than 1600 sessions and events, over seven days and seven nights.

SXSW Sydney 2024 also introduced the launch of National AI Month and extended free programming in Tumbalong Park across seven days with 163 Events, which were attended by over 190,000 people.

Submissions for the SXSW Sydney 2025 Conference, Music, Screen and Games Festival will open early in 2025.
