Swim school industry scholarships now open

The Australian Swim Schools Association (ASSA) has announced that applications are now open for the inaugural round of the Coutts Family Scholarship program.

Commenting on the program, which aims to enhance the development of future leaders in the swim shools industry, ASSA Chief Executive Ross Gage stated “the Australian Swim Schools Association (ASSA) have partnered with the United States Swim Schools Association (USSSA) and the Coutts Family Trust to develop this a scholarship program.”

USSSA President Lynn Ledford added “the U.S. Swim School Association is incredibly excited about the Coutts Family Scholarship Fund. The Coutts family have been long time members, supporters and friends of the US Swim Association and our members are honored to be included in this exciting program.

“The Coutts Family Scholarship embraces and promotes the best of what our associations represent: friendship, education, innovation, experience and networking.

“The opportunity to gather swim school leaders in a home like setting offers an unparalleled opportunity to learn and share.

“The tour set up by John and Sally exudes their personal charm and generosity as - pure to Coutts’ form - it offers recipients the chance to travel to far off places; seek adventure; learn about new cultures; make new friends; and be inspired about how amazing and special our work in the learn-to-swim world is and the importance of the roles we play in our communities.

“The Coutts Family Scholarship program will provide a vital and lasting legacy – and will serve our members and our industry in immeasurable ways for years to come."

The Coutts Family Trust have committed a minimum of $10,000 per year for 10 years to the Scholarship Program.
