Susan Mosedale to guide IAAPA through transition

The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) has appointed long time IAAPA Executive Vice President Susan Mosedale to the role of interim Chief Operating Officer.
The appointment by the IAAPA Executive Committee will see Mosedale will oversee the association until a new President and Chief Executive is appointed.
Susan is an accomplished association executive and recently graduated from the United States Chamber of Commerceâs Institute for Organizational Management, a comprehensive course of study in the management of nonprofit organizations. Mosedale has held a number of leadership positions within IAAPA for the past 18 years. Prior to this announcement, and is IAAPA's executive vice president, responsible for membership/marketing, communications, education, and government relations. In addition to these areas, she will now oversee the convention and finance staffs and the executive directors of IAAPA's regional offices in Asia, Europe, and Latin America.
Susan has been a highly regarded leader within IAAPA for many years and, in a statement the IAAPA Executive Committee wrote "we have great confidence in her leadership and counsel, and we know she will keep the association moving forward through this time of transition."
Appointment of IAAPAâs new President and Chief Executive is expected to take several months.
