Sunbather delivers energy savings for Aquamoves Shepparton and SA Aquatic and Leisure Centre

Leading solar pool heating and pool cover supplier Sunbather Pool Technologies has completed major energy saving initiatives at Aquamoves Shepparton and the South Australian Aquatic and Leisure Centre.

Earlier in the year Sunbather were successful in winning the tender to design, supply and install an underseat and thermal blanket system for the 50 metre outdoor pool at Aquamoves in Shepparton.

The system replaced an old mobile roller and thermal blanket system.

The new rollers are powered with the Sunbather Underseat SuperSlave deploying the blankets.

The Underseat system not only saves space but with its rollers being fixed the pool operators do not need to manually move them around the pool deck for operation.

Sunbather, National Commercial Sales Executive Pam Robinson explains “this is a huge time saver and much friendlier in the interests of OH&S.”

The end result also provides area at the ends of the pool for sitting and leaving belongings while swimming.

Sunbather has also installed underseat rollers and thermal blankets for Aquamoves’ indoor leisure and learn-to-swim pools creating seating in between the pools for patrons.

At the South Australian Aquatic and Leisure Centre in the Adelaide suburb of Marion, Sunbather installed thermal blankets for the outdoor waterslides’ plunge pool and an Underseat system and thermal blankets for the indoor 25 metre lap pool.

Commenting on the savings from this installation, Gordon Friend, the Centre’s Manager - Facilities and Assets explained “I estimate the cost savings over a 12 month period by covering the leisure pools at this centre to be $29,000 and payback of this system will be within three years.”
