Sunbather celebrates 40 years in business

Award winning solar pool heating and pool cover company Sunbather Pool Technologies has just celebrated 40 years of business.

Founded in a former woolshed on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula in 1974, Sunbather has grown to be an industry leader in solar pool heating and high quality thermal blankets and safety pool covers.

Throughout its 40 years, innovation has been at the heart of Sunbather's operations, with the company recognised as the most awarded solar pool heating company in Australia.

Sunbather now has a true national presence with offices in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, backed by key dealers in all other states.

Last weekend more than 60 Sunbather management and staff along with dozens of special guests came together to mark the important milestone, with founder Simon Boadle recalling many great moments from the company’s history.

This included a telephone call from iconic entrepreneur Dick Smith that helped the company pull all the different pieces of its business together into a business that “collects and conserves” energy for swimming pools.

Boadle commented "according to ABS statistics 40 years is a long time for any business to survive let alone expand and grow."
