Successful in Asia, Aquaspin prepares to enter Australia in 2017

Rising interest in aquatic exercise programs will see Singapore-based Aquaspin™ enter the Australian market in 2017, at StateSwim facilities in Adelaide.

Alicia Antonuccio, co-owner and instructor at Aquaspin™, brought Aquaspin cycling classes and equipment from Spain to Singapore two years ago and is now teaching the workout at a range of clubs across Singapore.

Bringing a new demographic to aqua fitness classes: younger adults, men, athletes, rehabilitating persons, Aquaspin programs are also offered at the Fairmont The Palm Hotel in Dubai.

Aquaspin provides a licensed model for hotels, fitness clubs, country clubs and aquatic centres to introduce its activity smoothly and successfully and to then partner the facility over the long term.

Aquaspin involves exactly what the name suggests: participants, immersed in water up to the chest, pedalling stationary bikes submerged in the pool, combining the efficient principles of classical stationary indoor cycling with the healthy and soothing powers of water. Using the benefits of water, buoyancy and resistance, Aquaspin is soft on the joints and more efficient than land base stationary cycling - burning up to 800 calories an hour.
