Sports Technology NZ Wins Facility of the Year Award

The Sports Contractors Association (SCA) of Australia and New Zealand has awarded its prestigious Sport Facility of the Year Award to Sports Technology New Zealand for its work at Auckland's Kings College Complex.
Sport Technology New Zealand (STNZ), part of the global Sport Technology International group, completed a Spurtan track and Poligras hockey pitch at the Kings College Sports Complex. The project, which opened in June 2007, included an eight lane, 400 metre Spurtan BV track, a Poligras Wetfield hockey pitch and a Poligras ECO+ training area along with a full range of IAAF approved athletics equipment including electronic timing equipment.
John Burnett, Kings College's Property Manager and Project Coordinator believes the facility is the best sports facility of any school in New Zealand, explaining "we are extremely thrilled with our new facility and the very high standard of surfacing supplied by Sports Technology International. We could not have asked for more and thank STI for a wonderful job well done."
According to STNZ Managing Director, Sean Goudie, the facility is a potential world first for STI as a result of having three of its internationally accredited trademark surfaces installed at the one venue. As Sean explains, "the sports complex provides one of New Zealand's leading schools with a significant advantage in developing its elite sports people."
