Sport SA Awards finalists announced
The dedicated coaches, volunteers, administrators and officials who back South Australian sport have been recognised as finalists in the 2012 Sport SA Awards.
Sport SA Chief Executive Jan Sutherland "Sport SA is proud of the team which provides sport for all South Australians. They enable our sporting stars to achieve the best performances as they coach, officiate, organise events and complete many other tasks.
"Sport SA is delighted that we are able to recognise the great achievements of our sports in so many areas".
The finalists were announced in the following categories (see below):
Administrator of the Year, Coach of the Year, Country Athlete of the Year, Event of the
Year, Official of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Primary School Sports Award and the Secondary School Sports Award.
Award recipients will be presented at the KPMG Celebration of South Australian Sport Gala Dinner on Friday 23rd November at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre when Sport SA joins forces with The Advertiser Channel Seven to present The KPMG South Australian Sport Hall of Fame; The Advertiser Channel Seven Sports Star of the Year and the Sport SA Awards.
Sutherland adds "please join us to celebrate sport in South Australia ... in an exciting, entertaining Gala dinner showcasing our sporting success."
