Spa and Beauty Expo Returns to Melbourne

Returning to Melbourne in 2009, the International Beauty Expo is to be held at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre on 4th and 5th April 2009.

Over 30,000 visitors have flowed through the doors of the Melbourne International Beauty Expo since its inception, taking advantage of the opportunity to source the latest products and trends from hundreds of the industry's most innovative suppliers.

2009 will also see the Melbourne launch of the industry first Low Carbon Initiative for the spa and beauty industry. The goal of the initiative is to reduce the operational climate change impact from the spa and beauty industry by 20% by 2015.

The international Beauty Expo has been working with the Australasian Spa Association, Spa Australasia magazine and the Carbon Reduction Institute to develop the Initiative. Participating in the Initiative will let industry insiders to investigate practical ways to reduce power, water and waste in your business. Business owners will also be provided with the opportunity to offset some emissions with carbon credits and earn the well-established LowCO2 or NoCO2 business certification logo to promote their environmental actions.

This 6th Melbourne International Beauty Expo will also feature a new education format to allow more time for visitors on the exhibition floor. Visitors will be offered the choice of eight individual seminar sessions presented by independent industry experts as well as the popular interactive workshops run by Elly Lukas college of Beauty Therapy.
