SICO innovation in disabled stage access

Portable staging manufacturer SICO South Pacific Ltd has recently become the exclusive distributor of the newest innovation in disabled stage access technology, the Ascension Virtuoso Portable Wheelchair Lift.

A completely portable unit the Virtuoso offers venues and facilities a modern alternative to bulky access ramps and other permanent disabled lifts.

With only a 1.53 metre of clearance space required in front of a stage the lift is ideal for venues with limited space between the stage and seating areas.

The lift is designed to plug into a standard power point which means no installation or building alterations are required. As SICO Managing Director, Jamie Hurst explains "because of these features we have found the lift particularly popular with architects and managers involved in new facility fit out and building projects."

Multiple height selections make the Virtuoso extremely versatile for facilities that currently use portable staging or risers for events where disable access is required quickly and safely.

SICO has successfully installed Virtuoso units at the Gold Coast Convention Centre, Melbourne Town Hall, Monash University, Wagga Civic Centre and other venues throughout Australia.
