Shoalhaven’s new Culburra Cougars Club House officially opens

Shoalhaven’s new Culburra Cougars Club House at Crookhaven Oval has officially been opened with new storage and accessible toilet facilities and installation of new turf.

The new Culburra Cougars Club house received $345,000 from the Federal Government’s Community Development Grant Programme with Shoalhaven City Council Mayor Amanda Findley advising that the completion of the new Club House would prove a valuable asset for the Culburra sporting community.

Mayor Findley thanked the Federal Government for their support of the Culburra Cougars noting “the funding has allowed the club to design and construct new storage and toilet facilities at Crookhaven Oval” which will be “used by generations of Cougars to come. These are important facilities not only provide a safe space for the club to store their training equipment, but club house also provides a safe space for club members to change before and after training and games.”

The Club House includes 80metre2 of storage and the inclusion of two unisex toilets and an accessible toilet.

Council also undertook site restoration works on the Oval, including levelling and installing new turf, following the completion of the new Club House.
