Shire of Campaspe launches SPARK Arts and Cultural Grants Program
The Shire of Campaspe, a local government area located in northern Victoria, has launched SPARK – Arts & Cultural Grants Program, aimed at supporting creative projects, practices, and new ideas within the community.
This initiative reflects Council’s commitment to investing in the local creative sector and recognising the value and role arts and culture play in building social connection, community wellbeing, and economic vitality.
The SPARK – Arts & Cultural Grants Program invites individual artists, creatives, cultural practitioners, arts groups, or community organisations to apply for grant funding. The total funding pool of $60,000 is available to support local creatives, contribute to the diversity and vitality of creative activity, and encourage active participation in arts and culture across Campaspe’s nine communities of priority.
Campaspe Shire Mayor Daniel Mackrell enthused “by supporting local creatives, we aim to strengthen our identity as a creative shire and enhance the cultural fabric of our region.
“We are proud to introduce this new offering into our range of grant programs.
"I encourage all eligible artists and organisations who are interested in applying for this fantastic opportunity to contact our Arts & Culture Team to discuss their ideas.
“The SPARK program is designed to support a wide range of creative endeavours, and we look forward to seeing the innovative projects that will emerge from this initiative."
