Senior appointments at MCI Australia

MCI Australia have made two senior appointments with Laura McDougall today joining the communication and event managers' Melbourne office as Corporate Relations Manager - in time to join the company's representation at this week's Asia Pacific Incentives & Meetings Expo.
In her position as Corporate Relations Manager, McDougall will focus on business and relationship development for corporate events, utilizing her extensive industry network and drawing on her knowledge of the Melbourne market.
McDougall joins MCI Australia from the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre where she held the position of Sales Manager Events
MCI Australia has also recently welcomed Rebecca Schepers as its new Director of Association Relations.
Schepers is leading MCI's PCO business development unit in Australia and managing all not-for-profit, government, medical and scientific association accounts.
Schepers has a unique background; having originally trained as a scientist, she worked in biotechnology and medical research for eight years in Australia and the UK.
While in the UK, she made a career change to event management and she now has over eight years experience in the events industry, specialising in event management, business development, sponsorship, communication and marketing.
Prior to joining the MCI team, Schepers was Communications Manager, External Relations at the Australian Synchrotron, a leading scientific research facility, where she was responsible for all events hosted by the facility and managed the creation, production and delivery of marketing, publications, sponsorship and advertising activities.
