SCG and SFS iPhone app gives full venue information

The Sydney Cricket Ground and Sydney Football Stadium have broken new ground with the first iPhone app available for download for a major Australian sports venue.
The interactive SCG and SFS iPhone app is available for free download from iTunes.
Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, the SCG and SFS app is the perfect handy guide for cricket fans attending the fifth Ashes Test to be played at the SCG between 3rd and 7th January 2010.
Users can easily catch up on all the latest news, venue, event, transport, parking and facilities information on the app.
A detailed map of the SCG will also provide complete information on the location of food and beverage outlets, toilets, ATMs, TAB outlets, merchandise stalls and wheelchair access points.
The SCG and SFS were the first Australian sports venues to introduce wireless computer access coverage and the iPhone app is another Australian sports venue breakthrough.
SCG Trust Chief Executive, Jamie Barkley, said the iPhone app will be a great asset for fans attending the two premier sports and entertainment venues, explaining âthe app is a great customer service tool for fans.
âThe app will provide convenient information about our grounds and will enhance their match day experience.
âFans will be able to view information such as transport routes and gate opening times prior to their arrival at the ground. And once they take up their seat, they will be able to use the app to locate their nearest food outlets and toilets.
