Scarborough Beach Pool set for ahead of schedule January 2018 opening

The City of Stirling has revealed that its new Scarborough Beach Pool will open on 22nd January, eight weeks ahead of schedule.

The Olympic-sized beachfront pool has passed health regulations and is currently in its final development stages with internal fitouts and landscaping in progress.

The $26 million project, which also includes a smaller learn-to-swim pool, is part of a $100 million redevelopment of the Scarborough Esplanade, which has been controversial for the disruption it has caused to local businesses.

Looking forward to the opening, City of Stirling Mayor Mark Irwin told The West Australian “now with the pool looking complete and the area opening up there will be hope and excitement,”

Cafe franchise Cocolat will fill the ground floor level of the facility’s commercial area and is scheduled to open at the same time.
