Rugby Australia announces partnership with global insurer Gallagher

Rugby Australia has announced Gallagher - a global leader in insurance, risk management and consulting services - as an official partner of its Wallabies, Wallaroos, Super Rugby W, under 16s and 19s programs.

Gallagher is a global leader in insurance, risk management and consulting services, helping clients face challenges and providing effective solutions.

Rugby Australia’s partnership with Gallagher began in September 2023 and has already made a significant impact, particularly in women’s rugby through support of the Super W competition.

The partnership will continue through to at least the end of 2026 with larger scale support to come throughout the Test season. It will also cover any future National Club Competition.

Welcoming the partnership, Sarah Lyons, Gallagher Chief Executive Australia and Asia, commented “we are incredibly proud to become an official partner of Rugby Australia. Gallagher is now the Official Insurance Broking Partner of Rugby Australia, the Wallabies, the Wallaroos and the National Club Competition.

“This multi-year partnership deepens our global connections into rugby, which includes the Gallagher Premiership in the UK and our World Rugby partnership; supporting high performance and women’s rugby as an Official Partner of the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025.

“It is an honour to stand alongside Rugby Australia, with our shared values of excellence, integrity, and inclusivity.”

Rugby Australia Chief Executive, Phil Waugh added “we are thrilled to welcome Gallagher as Rugby Australia's insurance partner.

“Gallagher is a huge supporter of Rugby globally and, with a huge emphasis on Women’s Rugby and sport in general.

“This commitment to supporting Rugby in Australia is an exciting development and a partnership we look forward to expanding through to the 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup and beyond."
