Royal Life Saving opens nominations for third year of National Aquatic Industry Safety Awards
Royal Life Saving Society - Australia has opened nominations for its 2019 National Aquatic Industry Safety Awards which aim to recognise individuals, organisation and aquatic facilities professionals for their commitment to safety in their community.
2019 marks the third year of the National Aquatic Industry Safety Awards, an initiative of Royal Life Saving and the National Aquatic Industry Safety Committee.
In a statement, Royal Life Saving advise "by celebrating the outstanding safety initiatives by individuals and organisations, Royal Life Saving aim to inspire others within the industry to review their own initiatives and develop new strategies to increase water safety in their community.
"Videos will be developed for each category winner to share the story of the impact they have made, and launched through an online media campaign with winners announced consecutively in August/September 2019."
The awards recognise nine separate categories for excellence in aquatic safety. Individuals, organisations or aquatic facilities can be nominated for each category which include:
• Excellence in Aquatic Technical Operations
• Excellence in Customer Service
• Excellence in Facility Design
• Excellence in Facility Management
• Excellence in Incident Management
• Excellence in Public Education
• Excellence in Risk Management
• Excellence in Staff Development
• Excellence in Supervision
Each category winner will be entered as a finalist for:
• Most outstanding contribution by an individual
• Most outstanding contribution by an aquatic facility
Nominations close on Wednesday 5th June 2019.
